ESA Utility Advisory Council

In June 2004 the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) introduced a comprehensive process to ensure an industry-supported implementation of the Electrical Distribution Safety Regulation. The introduction of a Utility Advisory Council (UAC) has facilitated the development of the operational details of the regulation. The Council is comprised of 30 members representing local distribution companies, consumers, labour unions, manufacturers, standards-writing organizations, safety associations, electrical contractors and other regulatory authorities.
